DPI to hold demo to protest Rajapakse visit
Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, Nov 16 (UNI) Dalit Panthers of India (DPI) , a constituent of the DMK-led government in Taml Nadu, will stage a demonstration in Chennai to condemn the visit of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse to India.
Talking got newspersons at Kunnam village near here today, party founder Thol Thirumavalan said the demonstration would be organised on November 18 to condemn the visit of Mr Rajapakse, who failed to stop the killing of Tamils there.
He appealed to all the six Mayors in the state to withdraw from the Asian Mayors Conference at Dehra Dun, to be inaugurated by the dignitary.
