CPI team meets Pondy CM, PCC chief

Puducherry, Nov 16 (UNI) A CPI delegation called on Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Pradesh Congress Committee President P Shanmugham seperately, today.

Though party state secretary Na Ra Kalainathan described the meeting as a 'courtesy call', it is learnt that the meeting had unanimously adopted a resolution nominating him for the post of the nominated member to the territorial assembly.

Besides, the delegation is said to have apprised the duo of the decision of the party and to seek fulfilment of the promise of a nominated member to the CPI at the time of election.

The state committee, under the chairmanship of Tamil Nadu party leader Tha Pandian, analysed political situation in Puducherry and also resolved to bring out the Puducherry edition of party organ 'Janasakthi', Kalainathan told UNI.
