Centre grants Rs 2.58 crore to DRDAs of 3 states
New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) The Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 2.58 crore as second instalment of Grants-in-aid to DRDAs of Orissa, Karnataka and Gujarat for the year 2006-07.
Of these Rs 1.66 crore has been allotted to four DRDAs --Angul, Bolkangir, Gajapati and Khurda-- of Orissa, Rs 45 lakh to two DRDAs --Dakshina Kannada and Mandya--of Karnataka and Rs 47 lakh for Rajpur DRDA of Gujarat.
The funding pattern under the scheme is 75:25 between the Centre and the State. The release of funds under DRDA administration is also subject to the condition that at least one meeting of the Vigilance and Monitoring Committee may be held at the State and district level.
