BJP Parliamentary Party meet at Vajpayee's house
New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) The meeting of the 'core group' of the BJP Parliamentary Party will take place tomorrow at former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's residence to finalise its strategy to face the ruling UPA coalition in the coming Parliament session beginning November 22.
BJP Parliamentary Party spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra told UNI the party would be raising the delay in giving death sentence to Afzal, convicted by the Supreme Court for his role in the December 2001 Parliament attack case in which 11 members of the security forces were killed on the opening day of the parliament sssion.
Other issues that figure in the agenda include the deteriorating internal security scenario, rising prices of essential commodities, growing unemployment, farmers' suicides and sealing of commercial establishments operating in residential properties in Delhi.
The foreign policy issues that will figure in the session would be about the outcome of the Indo-Pak Foreign Secretary level talks and controversial statements claiming sovereignty over the state of Arunachal Pradesh by the Chinese Ambassador ahead of his country's President's visit to India.
