BJP in the dock over land allotment, court orders filing
Jaipur, Nov 16 (UNI) A local court in Jaipur has directed the Gandhinagar police to investigate the alleged irregularities in the allotment of a prime plot to an RSS-controlled trust.
The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate II, has ordered Gandhinagar police station SHO to register an FIR of the alleged illegal allotment of prime land at Civil Lines by the Jaipur Development Authority(JDA) to the Deendayal Upadhayaya Smriti Trust and sumbit its findings by November11.
The court order came on a complaint filed by an advocate Sree Krishna Kukkad alleging criminal conspiracy and misuse of power in the land allotment by the state ministers, politicians and bureaucrats.
Rajasthan Urban Development Minister Pratap Singh Singhvi, former BJP President Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi, Jaipur Mayor Ashok Parnami, Rajasthan Housing Board Chairman Ajaypal Singh and JDA Commissioner have been named as the main conspirators.
The matter in dispute is the allotment of 7693.40 square meter of prime land at the Residency Scheme near posh Civil Lines Railways Crossing by the JDA to the Trust on July four this year at a highly subsidised rate of Rs 65.5 lakh. The allotment was made to the trust in the guise of the construction of the BJP state party headquarters in here.
The petitioner pointed out that the market price of the land is about Rs 50 crore and the trust wanted to usurp the land. The complaint said the trust was not even registered at the time of allotment on July four. The trust was later registered after the allotment on August 22 this year.
Another complaint questioning the allotment is pending in the Rajasthan High Court.
