Architects Mizoram to hold second exhibition

Aizawl, Nov 16 (UNI) The Mizoram Architects Forum (MAF) will organise Building Materials&Technology Exhibition-2006 from November 20 to 25 here.

MAF president Samuel Lalfana today said as many as 28 companies are expected to participate in the exhibition where building materials including steel, bathroom fittings and tile floors would be exhibited.

He said since Mizoram is situated in an earthquake zone, the organsiers felt necessary to show the people the materials that can shocks.

The exhibition also aims at promoting building materials that are manufactured in the state such as bricks, bamboo wallings and laminates and boards, he stated.

MAF will also organise an on spot painting competition in two categories and a photography competition on the sidelines of the exhibition.

The forum had organised its first exhibition in 2004 in which some 25 companies from different parts of the country had participated.
