Annual Logistics conference inaugurated

Mumbai, Nov 16 (UNI) The two-day VIIth annual logistics conference was inaugurated today at INS Hamla by controller of logistics Vice Admiral V S Mathur.

In his inaugural address, Mathur expressed hope and confidence that the conference would produce goods results by helping in enhancing interface between provider and customer.

A number of important issues pertaining to operational logistics, training, management of human resources, structural changes in the organisation and those relating to budget management, will be discussed.

Seventy delegates comprising senior officers from the logistics cadre and other branches of the Navy and officers from the Indian Defence Accounts Service are attending the two-day conference.
