Welspun-Guj secures Rs 460 cr order from Exxon Mobil

New Delhi, Nov 15: Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren, the flagship company of the one billion Welspun Group, today announced that ita has secured a Rs 460 crore onshore pipeline order for supply of 42 inch line LNG pipes from US-based oil and gas company Exxon Mobil.

The contract, for supply of 120 kms of pipe lines, is slated to be executed by 2007.

The order takes Welspun's current pending order book position to Rs 2,500 crore.

''This is the first order ever received by any Indian company from Exxon Mobil, the world's largest corporation. The deepest pipeline order took our company to a new height,'' Welspun Group Vice Chairman and Managing Director B K Goenka said The company had supplied its products to Indonesia's PGN, Kinder Morgan and Reliance.
