Varanasi blast case: Charges to be framed on Nov 30
Varanasi, Nov 15 (UNI) A local court today extended by two more weeks the judicial remand of Mohd Waliullah -- mastermind and key accused of March 7 Varanasi blast--and fixed November 30 as the date for framing charges.
In pursuance with yesterday's Allahabad High Court order, hearing in the three cases -- blast at Varanasi railway station and Sankatmochan temple and pressure cooker-borne explosive recovery cases -- took place in Central Jail, where Waliullah is lodged.
Special Judge (Essential Commodities Act) Narendra Singh Rawal, hearing the case extended the judicial remand of Waliullah.
Meanwhile, Deobrat has been appointed 'Nyaymitra' by the government to contest the case for Waliullah.
The judge also accepted the defence counsel's plea to give him time till the next hearing for studying the list of witnesses attached with the chargesheet.
At least, 18 people were killed and over 100 others wounded when two powerful blasts rocked the Sankatmochan temple and Varanasi Cantonment railway station within a span of 15 minutes on March 7.
