UP boxing unit secretary passes away

Kanpur, Nov 14 (UNI) UP Amateur Boxing Association Secretary SN Mishra has passed away after prolonged illness.

Mishra, 76, breathed his last on Monday and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Mishra also served the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation as its treasurer and was involved with several other disciplines, including volleyball and gymnastics.

It was under his patronage that Uttar Pradesh amateur boxers made progress in the past two decades.
