Two more gold for Bengal in all India shooting meet

Asansol, Nov 15 (UNI) Bengal sharp shooters Rupam Banerjee and Suchibrata Nag won gold medals in their respective events(.22 open sight 50 mts Rifle 3 position and 10 mts, Air Pistols on the last day of 10-day 16th All India G V Mavalankar Shooting Meet at Chandmari Range in Asansol here.

The duo scored 467 and 253 points respectively.

Earlier, Dr Kalyan Banerjee secured a gold medal with a new meet record (259 points) in 50 mts small bore standard Rifle.

Rituparna Mazumdar and Swapan Basu got silver medals in their respective events for women and men.

Five bronze medals went to Rupam Banerjee, Devdoot Mukherjee, Soumya Banerjee, Uttam Kumar Das and Suvajit Chakraborty.
