Two houses cave in at Srinagar locality; residents safe

Srinagar, Nov 15 (UNI) Several people escaped unhurt when two residential houses suddenly caved in at a downtown locality here today, police said.

They said the houses of Ghulam Hassan Khan and Showat Hussain Para at Hassanabad in Rainawari area suddenly caved in.

Police said all the residents were evacuated to safer places.

Dozens of houses have caved in within the locality during the past several years.

The authorities have refused permission to new constructions in the area for many years now.
