TVS Motor Co launches branded lubricant

Bangalore, Nov 15: Continuing its innovations TVS Motor Company today launched TVS assurance for its hot selling brand StaR providing a five year warranty as against the industry normal of two years.

The Company also adding value to its vehicles announced today the launch of TVS TRU4 engine oil designed specifically for four stroke two wheeler engines.

Announcing the twin initiatives, Company Senior Vice President for Sales and Services R Chandramouli said the company aimed to sell 1.6 million vehicles this year. Popular brand from the TVS stable, StaR alone was expected to gross one million in sales next fiscal, he added. StaR, had within 24 months of its launch grossed one million in sales.

TVS Assurance a new concept introduced by the Company would be available initially for owners of StaR and would be extended to other brands in a phased manner, Mr Chandramouli said adding that apart from the first two year warranty covering 20,000 km, TVS assourance would provide an additional three year extended warranty to reduce the worry of maintenance cost from the mind of consumers on an extra payment of Rs.599. TVS asurance would also be provided to existing StaR owners and was transferable to the first sale of the vehicle.

Referring to the TRU4 oil, Mr Chandramouli said that the oil, patented to the Company had been developed after three years of Research and development and would be blended by BPCL for the Company. The first engine oil to get the latest JASO MA2 specification, TRU4 has been developed exlusively for four stroke vehicles and provided smooth cluch operations, gear shift and enhanced engine production. It also comes with an instant genuinity checkto avoid misuse of containers.
