Three persons were burnt alive in road accident
Chitradurga, Nov 15 (UNI) Three persons were burnt alive and another sustained serious injuries when two trucks collided head-on and caught fire in the outskirts of the town at the Bangalore-Pune National Highway this morning.
According to police sources the mishap occurred at about 0515 hours when a truck carrying Tyres hit another transport carrier truck in the outskirts of the town.
Due to the impact of the collusion both the trucks caught fire and engulfed in the burst of fire. Three persons including drivers of the both the vehicles were burnt alive in the incident and another sustained serious burns injuries.
The injured was admitted to general hospital and reportedly was in serious condition. While one of the truck was belongged to VRL transports and the other which is yet to be identified was however carrying tyres of the TVS company. Due to the incident the vehicular traffic in the busy Bangalore-Pune national highway came to grinding halt for over three hours the sources added.
