Tata Indicom posts 32.6% market share in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) Private telecom service provider Tata Indicom holds the highest market share of 32.6 per cent in Delhi and NCR, followed by Airtel with 25.3 per cent and Idea with 19 per cent market share.

''We have crossed the 1.8 million-customer mark in Delhi and NCR in a short span of time since the inception of our operations in the circle,'' Tata Teleservices Ltd Circle Operating Officer (Delhi and NCR) Debashis Sur said.

The company is constantly enhancing the value proposition for the customers by providing a wide range of handsets, various options of tariff plans backed by expanding network and efficient customer services, Mr Sur added.

Tata Teleservices offers integrated telecom solutions to its customers under the Tata Indicom brand and uses CDMA 3G1X technology for its wireless network.

It operates in 3,000 towns across 20 circles in Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Gujarat, Karnataka, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Bihar, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kolkata, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal.

The company has a customer base of over 13 million across India.
