Tata Elxsi to recuit 500 engineers for TVM center in one year

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 15 (UNI) Tata Elxsi is planning to recruit around 500 engineers and specialists by the end of June next year, to enhance its presence by setting up its own campus at the Technopark Zone here.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr R Natarajan, head of the Tata Elxsi Center here, said the company would increase its workforce by adding another 1,500 engineers in three phases gradually.

The Center, currently housed in the Technopark premises, started in 2001 had grown to a size of over 300 engineers working on cutting edge technologies in Automotive electronics, consumer electronics and networking, Worldwide Marketing Head of the Elxsi Mr Nitin Paisaid,.

He said the aim of the company was to provide a world class environment in the new campus, set up on three-acres within the Technopark Zone here, right from state-of-art communication and development facilities, to an eco-friendly building design and fully equipped recreation facilities for engineers.

The company, the second after Bangalore, has four divisions addressing software and hardware development, styling and mechanical design, animation and special effects and system integration, he said.

Tata Elxsi Limited, the Product Design arm of the USD 22 Billion Tata Group, provides world class design services and solutions across the product design life cycle to industry sectors such as automotive, consumer electronics, media, semiconductor, scientific instrumentation, networking and wireless, he said.

Besides development centers at Chennai and Pune, it has a network of over 20 international offices including USA, UK, Germany, France, Korea, Taiwan and Japan, Mr Pai added.
