Suspended BSP MPs, MLAs join Samajwadi Party in UP
Lucknow, Nov 15 (UNI) Terming it a ''homecoming,'' two suspended Lok Sabha members and two expelled MLAs of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today joined the ruling Samajwadi Party here.
Expelled BSP LS member Ramakant Yadav from Azamgarh and Bhalchand Yadav (representing the Khalilabad L S seat) along with Kapil Deo Singh Yadav (Nathupur-Mau) and Kuldeep Singh Senger (Unnao) joined the SP in the presence of state PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav.
Talking to mediapersons, the leaders said it was a homecoming for them. He claimed the former BSP members were feeling suffocated.
Ramakant and Bhalchand were in the SP earlier, but switched over to the BSP just before the 2004 LS elections.
Ramakant was suspended from BSP for six years on Sunday, while Kapildeo along with another MLA Narendra Kumar were expelled from BSP the same day.
Ramakant said his brother, Umakant Yadav, who is BSP MP from Machilishahar, will also join the SP soon.
Bhalchand and Kuldeep Singh Senger were suspended by the BSP earlier.
