Soccer-Dutch police arrest four England fans

AMSTERDAM, Nov 15 (Reuters) Dutch police said they had arrested four English soccer fans for drunk and disorderly behaviour ahead of England's friendly with the Netherlands at the Amsterdam Arena today.

''On Tuesday night there were large numbers of rowdy England supporters in the red light district...but there were only minor incidents and things stayed quiet,'' Amsterdam police said in a statement.

In the early hours today police dispersed a noisy group of around 150 fans in the centre of the city -- famed for its sex industry and legal trade in marijuana.

Police arrested the four fans for drunkenness, vandalism and urinating in the street, they said.

Up to 10,000 England supporters are expected in Amsterdam and English police have travelled to the Netherlands to monitor supporters.
