SCSL announces development center in China
Hyderabad, Nov 15: Satym Computer Services Limited (SCSL), the leading global consulting and IT services company today announced that it has launched its 100-seater development center in the Guangzhou Software Park, China.
The 500 square metre state-of-the-art facility was designed to scale up to 1,000 employees by 2006 end.
Earlier this year, an agreement to this effect was signed in the presence of Zhang Guangning, the Mayor of Guangzhou, and B Rama Raju, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Satyam. The development centre will serve as a nearshore set-up for Satyam's customers based out of Hong Kong and Japan.
The new centre in Guangzhou will strengthen Satyam's presence in China, currently in operatins in Shanghai, Beijing and Dalian "today a team of 400 associates (of which 97% are Chinese talent) work with various organisations locally, across technologies such as Oracle, Sap, Embedded&Engineering Services and Java", the company release said here.
