Rupee opens higher by two paise at 45.17/18 per USD

Mumbai, Nov 15: The rupee today opened higher by two paise and was quoted at Rs 45.17/18 per US Dollar as compared to it's previous close of Rs 45.19 per USD, on account of scattered dollar demand by bankers, traders said.

Later, the domestic currency hiked to Rs 45.15 per USD, and is now trading again at a low of 11 paise at Rs 45.30/31 per USD from it previous close of 45.19/20, on account of heavy buying support of the dollar by the corporate sector and nationalised banks, forex dealers added.
