Road blockade to protest murder

Samastipur, Nov 15 (UNI) Protesting against the murder of a businessman last night, local residents put up a blockade on main road disrupting traffic near Gudri Bazar under Dalsingh Sarai police station area in the district today.

Police said Dillip Poddar was shot dead by criminals in Gudri Bazar area when he was returning home with his brother Arvind. The latter sustained serious injuries and had been referred to the Patna Medical College Hospital.

The reason behind the killing was stated to be land dispute, police added.

Senior police and civil officers had rushed to the spot to clear the blockade, police said.

Meanwhile, a manhunt had been launched to nab the killers.
