Oppn boycotts J'khand foundation day
Ranchi, Nov 15 (UNI) The Opposition NDA today boycotted the official programme of sixth foundation day of Jharkhand saying the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government's attitude smacked of 'making politics' of the event.
The programme, organised at the historic Morhabadi ground to mark the occasion, was not attended by any high-rung leaders from the NDA, including former Chief Minister Arjun Munda (BJP) and former Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari (JD-U), to name a few.
Instead, RJD supremo and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, Ms Noor Banu (Cong), in-charge of Jharkhand, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha President and Coal Minister Sibu Soren and Union Minister of state for food processing Subodh Kant Sahai graced the occasion.
The Opposition said the day was not confined to UPA activists alone as it was meant for all.
