No communication from Customs: Ash's Advocate

Mumbai, Nov 15: Filmstar Aishwarya Rai's Advocate today said the actress had not received any communication so far from the custom authorities regarding the parcel containing 23,000 Euros (Approx Rs 13.5 lakh) that was addressed to her former residence from Netherlands.

''We understand that a special team is investigating the matter.

Whenever they will ask for clarification, we will cooperate with the agency,'' Advocate Girish Kulkarni told reporters here today.

When it was brought to his notice that the sender of the parcel used to organise shows, he said '' We never met him and we do not know him.'' As meeting of Electronic Goods was made on the parcel, it was apparently referred to the Customs deparment. When it was opened, currency was found, he added.

The Customs Commissioner (Import) A K Prasad yesterday told reporters that the department may summon Aishwarya for questioning in a couple of days.
