NLC contract employees begin agitation

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Nov 15 (UNI) As many as 13,000 contract employees of Neyveli Lignite Corporation(NLC) Limited today began an agitation demanding talks with the management on introducing bonus scheme for them.

Agitationists today took out a demonstration to the NLC's Corporation Office and staged a dharna in front of the office.

Meanwhile, the other employees organisations of NLC, supporting the agitating contract employees, said they would call for a one-day token strike, if the management failed to amicably settle the demands raised by contract employees within two days.
