Mist, cool weather continues in capital
New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) Misty conditions continued to prevail in Delhi today even as the mercury remained at normal level, maintaining the coolness that has marked the weather in the last few days.
Though the maximum temperature today rose slightly to 29.8 degree Celsius, it still remained at normal level for this time of the year. The minimum too remainedta yesterday's level of 15 degrees C.
Meanwhile, mist and shallow fog continued to prevail in Delhi today and is likely to continue tomorrow as well.
The cool climes in Delhi are likely to continue for the next couple of days with a fresh Western disturbance likely to cause rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and showers in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab from tomorrow.
Weathermen said that though the sky would remain largely clear during the next 24 hours, mist and shallow fog is likely to prevail.
The minimum temperature is likely to be 15 degree Celsius tomorrow.
A fresh Easterly wave is also likely to maintain cool climes in the capital in the coming week.
The cool weather experienced in the capital over the last couple of days comes as a welcome relief for the people who have, even in the post-Diwali period, which usually marks the onset of Winter, witnessed a rising trend in mercury.
