Leading amateurs to play in 27th PSPB Inter-Unit golf

Greater Noida, Nov 15 (UNI) Leading amateur players of the country will be seen in action in the 27th PSPB Inter-Unit golf tournament which tees off here tomorrow.

The four-day golfing extravaganza begins with a one-day stableford event followed by the two-day main event to be played on a strokeplay format.

OIL India Limited is spearheaded by the in-form Simarjeet Singh, Joseph Chakola and Chirag Kumar, the last two being included in the Doha Asian Games sqaud while IOCL has Gagan Verma, Himmat Rai and Shruti Khanna in their ranks.

The other formidable team to look out for is ONGC with the leading amateurs Amanjyot Singh and Vikram Rana in their ranks.

Jasjeet Singh who is just back from the Sri Lankan Open leads the fortunes of GAIL accompanied by Tarun Gokhale.

The women's field includes among other Shruti Khanna, Vaishavi Sinha and Irina Brar.
