Isolated rainfall in Karnataka

Bangalore, Nov 15 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Puttur 4; Mangalore, Srinivasapura 1 each.

Minimum temperatures rose at many places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and normal over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Bijapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.4 deg.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara districts and at isolated places over Udupi, Tumkur, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Hassan districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of light rain likely. Minimum temperature would be around 20 deg. Celsius.
