India, Vietnam have close relations: Vu Quang Diem
Hyderabad, Nov 15 (UNI) Vietnamese Ambassador to India Vu Quang Diem today said India and Vietnam have very close relations and could jointly work in many sectors.
The Ambassador accompanied by a delegation called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said. This was his first visit to the state. He explained how Indian medicines were popular in Vietnam.
Mr Reddy said Vietnamese Leader Ho Chi Minh was very popular in India. Andhra Pradesh was a land of great opportunities. The power tariff was very low in the country, he added.
Industrialists from Vietnam were welcomed to invest in the state which was known for its IT, ITES, Pharmaceutical and other Industries.
He said both Vietnam and Andhra Pradesh could work together in many fields.
