Gram panchayat elections on Dec 10 in Gujarat

Gandhinagar, Nov 15 (UNI) The State Election Commission today announced that elections to 10,371 gram panchayats across Gujarat will be held on December 10.

The filing of nominations will begin from November 22 and close on November 27. Scrutiny will take place the next day. The last date of wothdrawals is November 29.

Counting will take place on December 12 and the whole process will be over by December 15, election office said today in a statement.

Among the gram panchayats that will go to polls, 496 are in Ahmedabad, 194 in Gandhinagar, 789 in Rajkot, 818 in Surat, 536 in Vadodara and 478 in Kutch.
