Germany's new visa application centres in the South

Chennai, Nov 15 (UNI) In a move aimed at easing the visa application process, the Consulate General of Germany today announced opening new Visa Application Centres in South India.

The Centres, located at Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi, started functioning from today.

The Consulate had commissioned VFS (India) Private Limited to operate the Visa Application Centres. VFS was an experienced and trusted outsourcing partner to diplomatic and consular missions in India, Singapore, South Africa, Bangladesh, UAE and GCC region, Malaysia, Ghana, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Russia and China.

With new arrangements in place, South Indians applying for a visa would now be able to submit their applications at the above centres.

The applicants could have their passports couriered to their specified address after processing or collect it from the Centres.
