Ganguly elected Bengal Ranji captain

Kolkata, Nov 15 (UNI) Sourav Ganguly will lead the Bengal Ranji team against Punjab in the Elite Group B tie commencing at Mohali from November 23.

Announcing this here today, CAB Secretary Saradindu Pal said,'' Ganguly has agreed to take up the captaincy of the Bengal team in the Ranji Trophy. He had a talk with coach Paras mahmbrey also.'' Deep dasgupta will be Ganguly's deputy.

The other members of the team are Arindam Das, Subhomoy Das, Abhishek Junjhunwala, Manoj Tewari, Rohan Gavcaskar, L R Shukla, S S Singh, Ranadenb Bose, Sourashis lahari, Ashok Dinda, Eklak Ahmed, Amitava Chakraborty.

Paras Mhambrey will continue to be the coach, while Samir Dasgupta will be the manager.
