Fire in passenger train, probe ordered
Varanasi, Nov 15 (UNI) Fire broke out in a sleeper compartment of the Bareilly-Varanasi passenger train at the Varanasi Cantonment railway station here today.
Railways sources said here the fire occurred in S1 compartment just after the passengers had deboarded and the train was about to move to the yard.
The fire was extinguished in an hour by railway personnel.
No casualty was reported in the fire, that damaged a large portion of the compartment. A departmental probe has been ordered to ascertain the cause of fire, sources added.
