Eight officials found absent in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 15 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has further tightened its noose around errant officials by conducting surprise checks in various departments across the state.
As part of this drive, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Mehraj-ud-din Kakroo inspected various offices and found eight officials of the Agriculture Department and its input wing absent from duty, an official spokesman said today.
Mr Kakroo also ordered disciplinary action against the absentee officials and directed the functionaries of various departments to improve the work culture and ensure attendance in their offices, the spokesman said.
