DHBVN extends power bill waiver scheme in Haryana

Hisar, Nov 15 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has decided to give one more chance to defaulter consumers for availing the electricity bill arrear waiver scheme up to November 30.

A Nigam spokesman today said the defaulter consumers, who could not avail the electricity bill arrear waiver scheme, could join the scheme by making payment of their current bills issued from June 2005.

He said no surcharge would be levied on the bills. But they would have to pay Rs 180 as a late entry fee. The waiver scheme was meant for domestic and agricultural consumers in villages.

The facility of reconnection of permanently disconnected connections would also be available up to November 30 under the waiver scheme.
