Corp. launches drive

Hyderabad, Nov 15 (UNI) Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) Tigala Krishna Reddy, today said the Corporation was taking urgent steps to contain musquito-borne and vector-borne diseases like Chikungunya and Dengue.

The Mayor toured some of the slums along with his party (TDP) President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and observed the situation there.

The Mayor said the Corporation was taking up a programme to create awareness among the people about the need to keep their surroundings clean and musquito-free.

He appealed to the people to contact the authorities concerned on matters concerning epidemics and follow their instructions.

He told the residents of slums that they could be epidemic-free by keeping their surroundings clean and without stagnant water.
