BSNL employees observe fast to press demands

Puducherry, Nov 15: Members of the contract employees association of BSNL today observed a fast in front of the BSNL general manager's office here to press their demands.

They were demanding that the wages of the contract employees should not be reduced and provision of weekly off to them, among other things.

Meanwhile, employees of the Krishi Vigayan Kendra (KVK) at Mathur in Karaikal region went on a relay fast in front of the legislative assembly, demanding regularisation of part time employees as in KVK here and provision of Rs 159 per day to the casual labourers as in Puducherry KVK.
