3 persons died after having poisonous biscuit

Mirzapur, Nov 15 (UNI) At least three persons died and another took serious ill after they were served with poisonous biscuits under Kotwali police station area here last night, police today said.

Radheshyam, his wife Laxhmi, son Santosh and another Rajendra took seriously ill after they were allegedly served with poisonous biscuits by Radhe's business partner Pappu Vishkarma, who later absconded.

They were rushed to district hospital in a serious condition, where Radhe and Rajendra died. Laxhmi and Santosh were rushed for treatment in Varanasi but the latter died on way to hospital, police added.

The reason behind the crime, however, was not ascertained.

A case was registered and hunt was on to nab the accused.
