Youth responsible for Arunachal's devlp: Apang

Itanagar, Nov 14: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang has urged the youths to contribute towards the state's development.

Inaugurating the 11th UNIFEST (university festival) at Rajiv Gandhi University here yesterday, Mr Apang termed the youth as most the valuable asset for any state. '' UNIFEST promotes and rejuvenates literature, culture, games and sports, which ultimately results in human excellence,'' Mr Apang said stressing the need to promote cultural heritage of the state.

He said with the mixing of western culture and emergence of modern technology, the cultural heritage of the society had been disturbed.

In 2002, UGC has identified the university as one among the select group of twelve universities with potential for excellence in bio-diversity, he said.
