YHAI to conduct trekking in Mizoram

Aizawl, Nov 14 (UNI) The National Office of the Youth Hostel Association of India will conduct a week-long trekking programme in Mizoram between November 20 and 27.

More than 200 YHAI members from outside the state will participate in the programme, which will cover the area between Vaipuanpho and Reiek, about 20 km from the state capital, said state branch of YHAI.

Programme would be chalked for outside participants and the trekkers will make night stay at Vaipunapho and Ailawng villages while they will also be taken to Khuangchera Puk for caving.

YHAI members from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Utter Pradesh are expected to participate in the programme.

Mizoram YHAI branch is going to establish trekking routes and permanent camping sites in Mizoram to attract tourists, YHAI officials informed.
