Trader shot dead by suspected ultras

Jamshedpur, Nov 14 (UNI) A trader was shot dead by suspected Maoists at Basadera village under naxalite-dominated Ghatshila police station area in East Singhbhum district.

Police today said Dhiren Mahto(38), an ''informer of police,'' was kidnapped by the ultras and his bullet-ridden body was recovered near a roadside bush yesterday.

The ultras also looted a motorbike and a cell phone of the deceased. Police recovered posters of the naxalites from the place where Mahto's body was found.

Investigation was on to nab the criminals, police said.
