Time bomb found at SPO's residence
Jagdalpur, Nov 14 (UNI) A major tragedy was averted today with the timely detection of a time bomb at the residence of a Special Police Officer at Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, police said today.
''SPO Ghasia Ram's wife informed police about the 'tick-tick' sound emanating from a wheat bag in the house yesterday,'' Superintendent of Police P Sunderaj said.
On receiving information, police reached the SPO's house along with bomb disposal squad. A six-kg bomb, made from steel container and containing splinter and explosives in large quantities, was detected.
Experts later defused the bomb. Police were investigating about how the bag reached the SPO's house.
