Chhattisgarh: Time bomb found at SPO's residence

Jagdalpur, Nov 14: A major tragedy was averted today with the timely detection of a time bomb at the residence of a Special Police Officer at Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district.

''SPO Ghasia Ram's wife informed police about the 'tick-tick' sound emanating from a wheat bag in the house yesterday,'' Superintendent of Police P Sunderaj said.

On receiving information, police reached the SPO's house along with bomb disposal squad. A six-kg bomb, made from steel container with splinter and explosives in large quantities in it, was detected.

Experts later defused the bomb. Police were investigating about how the bag reached the SPO's house.
