TIL to make investment with local materials

Chennai,Nov 14 (UNI) Tata Industries Ltd (TIL) is going to make a combination of investments using the local meterials available in Bangladesh shortly,said Managing Director TIL Kishor Chaukar.

Talking to newspersons here today, Mr Chankar said the proposal would be taken up for final shape only after the national elections.

The TIL was very keen to make new investment on Bio-mas oriented industries and it proposed to invest at least 5 to 6 million US dollars initially and after a period of five years, the investment might go up to Rs 100 million US dollars, he added.

He said the TIL was negotiating with RBI for building and supplying the infrastructure to the non banking activities, and also for providing telecom oriented services.

He said TIL's total investment as on date was around Rs 800 to 900 crore.

He said they were working to make their investment in some thrust areas like biotechnology,advanced materials,alternative energy, susainability technologies, health care,eduction and food.

He said the Tata Interactive Systems(TIS) which was having 350 blue-chip clients and over 1.500 projects has acouired two companies in Germany and Switzerland last year.
