Tibetan freedom activist confined to Dharamshala

Dharamshala, Nov 14 (UNI) The Kangra district administration has barred Tibetan freedom activist Tenzin Tsundue from travelling outside Dharamshala during Chinese President Hu Jintao's forthcoming visit to India, official sources today said.

District Superintendent of Police cum Foreigners Registration Officer of Dharamshala Ajay Kumar Yadav yesterday issued a letter to Mr Tsundue, prohibiting him from leaving Dharamshala till November 25, they said.

Hu Jintao is likely to be in India from November 20 to 23 and is expected to visit New Delhi, Agra and Mumbai before leaving for Pakistan.

Without assigning any reason for confining him at Dharamshala, the sources said the orders were effective from the date of issuance.
