TDP leader released from jail

Hyderabad, Nov 14 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP)'s Senior Leader and former Minister P Ramasubba Reddy was today released from Charlapalli jail along with seven others after they were acquitted in a double murder case by the High Court yesterday.

Mr Reddy and seven others were sentenced to life imprisonment in the 1990 sensational Shadnagar double-murder case on December 22, 2004.

Talking to newspersons here, after the release, Mr Reddy alleged that the ruling Congress government had foisted cases against him.

''I had a threat from the rival groups'', he claimed.
