Special trains during winter months

Chennai, Nov 14 (UNI) Union Minister of state for Railways R Velu has ordered to run special trains on the Tiruchirapalli-Chennai Egmore and Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil sections to clear the extra rush of passengers during the winter months of November-December and January next.

A Southern Railway press release said the Tiruchirapalli-Chennai Egmore- (Weekly) special will leave Tiruchirapalli at 2100 hrs on Sundays from November 19 to January 21, and arrive here at 0400 hrs the next day.

In its return direction, the train will leave Chennai Egmore at 2315 hrs on Wednesdays from November 22 to january 24 and arrive in Tiruchirapalli at 0615 hrs the next day.

The Chennai Egmore Nagercoil (weekly) special will leave here at 1900 hrs on Mondays from November 20 to January 22 and to arrive Nagercoil at 0815 hrs the next day.

In the return direction, the train will leave Nagercoil at 1330 hrs on Tuesdays from November 21 to January 23 and to arrive here at 0430 hrs, the next day.

The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchirapalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachi and Tirunelveli.

Advance reservation for these trains will commence tomorrow.
