Singer's discourse on approach to life to school children

Rajahmundry, Nov 14 (UNI) Well-known playback singer S Janaki today exhorted children to develop the courage to stand up to any situation in life.

Participating in the 'Children's Day' function at K V R Talent School here she exhorted students not to resort to the extreme step of committing suicide following failure in examinations.

Ms Janaki said parents should not force their wards for the sake of being competitive.

She said apart from studies, a child should be taught arts, music, dance or whatever a child is attracted to.

Parents and teachers should encourage them to pursue arts, she said, adding, in this hi-tech era, competition was a must but the flair of a child must be taken into account.

K V R Talent School Director Kondaveeti Venkataramaiah said the school had been introducing several novel methods in teaching and to identify special talents in students.
