Rupee opens higher at 44.95/97 per USD

Mumbai, Nov 14: The rupee today opened stonger by four paise and was quoted at Rs 44.95/97 against per US Dollar as compared to its previous close of Rs 44.99 per USD, due to fresh dollar demand by bankers, traders said.

Later, the domestic currency hiked to Rs 44.93 per USD, and is now trading again at a low of Rs 44.20/21 per USD on heavy buying support in Dollar by local dealers, forex dealers added.
