Rajat Gupta joins Goldman Sachs board

Kolkata, Nov 14: The Board of Directors of the Goldman Sachs Group Inc has announced the appointment of Rajat Kumar Gupta as an independent director of the coproration.

Mr Gupta is the senior partner of Mckinsay&Co, a global management consulting firm.

Mr Gupta would serve on the audit, compensation and corporate governance and nominating committees of the Board, according to a release from Goldman Sachs.

With the addition of Mr Gupta, the Goldman Sachs board has 13 directors, of whom 10 are independent directors.
