Ogilvy Sport to represent Kimi Raikkonen in India
Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Ogilvy Sport today announced that it will represent Formula One's Kimi Raikkonen in India.
A release here quoted Ogilvy India CEO Pratap Bose as saying, ''We have been working on the Kimi Raikkonen deal for sometime and our agreement to represent Kimi is an indicator of Ogilvy India's future direction in Activation and Sports.'' We are delighted that the first offering from Ogilvy Sport is an opportunity for brands to associate with Ferrari - the Number 1 driver of the leader in Formula 1 racing, he added in the release.
Kimi's rise to stardom in F1 is well documented. From his very first Grand Prix with Sauber where Kimi scored points first time out, Kimi made an impression and not long into his rookie season McLaren Mercedes made a successful bid to secure his services on a four-year contract.
Crucially Kimi has finished 2nd in the World Drivers Championship twice - in a universally acknowledged inferior car to the Ferrari and Renault, which won the title in those years. But for Kimi this was not enough. This year it was officially announced that Ferrari had secured the services of the most exciting driver on a 3-year contract to maintain their position at the head of the Championships, the release added.
